"Broken Hearts; Beautiful Moms” is a gathering of moms who have lost a child in the Houston area. I created the group with the thought of bringing hurting moms together in order to support and encourage each other. It started with an idea in the year 2022 and in February 2023, almost 2 1/2 years after losing my son to suicide, the group became a reality.

To be honest, yes- there are a lot of tears but there are also some super sweet moments and even an occasional laugh or two. Moms share as much of their story as they desire and then we discuss similarities, differences, and ultimately the void that we are all now experiencing- regardless of the nature of the child’s (or children’s) death.
This group provides a “community” of moms who understand the depth of each other’s pain as well as a place to meet acquaintances who might just become a life long friend.
